Custom Furniture in Oklahoma City
Custom Furniture in Oklahoma City
When nothing in the stores is quite right, we build it. The Urban Wood Company is a custom furniture shop in Oklahoma City, building one-of-a-kind pieces from kiln-dried hardwood, from slab selection to final finish, all under one roof.
From Slab to Finish, All In-House
We are not assemblers. We mill our own lumber on our bandsaw mills, dry it in our own kiln, and build in our own shop at 1019 E Grand Blvd. That control is why our furniture looks the way it does: real black walnut, white oak, pecan, cherry, maple, hickory, and more, with grain you chose yourself.
What We Build
Our custom work covers the pieces that define a room:
- Dining tables, including our signature live edge build, The Maxine
- Desks and office tables, including waterfall and live edge designs
- Coffee tables, side tables, and console tables
- Mantles, floating shelves, and built-in features
- Benches, headboards, and bedroom pieces
If you can describe it, we can probably build it. Bring photos, sketches, or just an idea and we will design it with you.
Honest Pricing, Up Front
Every project gets a real quote before we start. Shop labor is $130 per hour, untaxed, and materials are priced from our posted slab and lumber rates, so you always know where the number comes from. A $2,500 deposit starts a custom build and reserves your spot in the schedule.
Local Wood, Local Hands
Buying custom furniture from a local shop means you meet the people building it, you pick the actual wood, and you get a piece nobody else owns. It also means it can be repaired, refinished, and handed down instead of replaced.
Let's Build Yours
Come by the shop Tuesday through Saturday, 9 to 5. We are closed Sunday and Monday. Call (405) 301-4186 or email info@theurbanwoodco.com and tell us what you are dreaming up. We will turn it into a plan with real pricing.
